Two Fantasy Novels Coming in 2017

We are super excited to announce that we’ve recently signed two wonderful fantasy novels, both of which will be published in 2017.

The first is an urban fantasy, The Year of the Knife, by G D Penman. Sully is an agent of the British Empire who is not afraid to use her magic skills to crack a case. But she may need more than that to track a serial killer across New Amsterdam and the American colonies, since the killer is controlling its victims’ bodies with a powerful magic of its own.

The second is an epic fantasy by Rebecca Gomez Farrell, titled Wings Unseen. The Meduan and Lanserim ways of life are as compatible as oil and water. But when an invisible threat consumes both countries, leaving husks of human skin in its wake, Lansera’s Prince Janto and his fiancé, Serra, must learn to work together with Vesperi, a Meduan who possesses the only weapon that can save them.

ABOUT G D PENMAN

gdpenmanG D Penman writes Speculative Fiction. He lives in Scotland with his partner and children, some of whom are human. He is a firm believer in the axiom that any story is made better by dragons. His beard has won an award. If you have ever read a story with Kaiju and queer people, it was probably one of his. In those few precious moments that he isn’t parenting or writing he likes to watch cartoons, play video and tabletop games, read more books than are entirely feasible and continue his quest to eat the flesh of every living species.

ABOUT REBECCA GOMEZ FARRELL

beccagomezfarrellIn all but one career aptitude test Rebecca Gomez Farrell has taken, writer has been the #1 result. But when she tastes the salty air and hears the sea lions bark, she wonders if maybe sea captain was the right choice after all. Currently marooned in Oakland, CA, Becca is an associate member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. Her short stories, which run the gamut of speculative fiction genres, have been published by Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Pulp Literature, and Typehouse Literary Magazine among others. Maya’s Vacation, her contemporary romance novella, is available from Clean Reads. Her next short story will appear in the Future Fire this fall, and she is thrilled that her debut novel will be published by Meerkat Press in 2017.

Becca’s food, drink, and travel writing, which has appeared in local media in CA and NC, can primarily be found at her blog, the Gourmez. For a list of all her published work, fiction and nonfiction, check out her author website at RebeccaGomezFarrell.com.

The WOUNDED ONES Blog Tour

The Wounded Ones by G.D. Penman coming June 23, 2020

Demons and serial killers are Iona “Sully” Sullivan’s bread and butter, but nothing could have prepared her to face off against the full weight of the British Empire at the height of its power. With the War for American Independence in full swing, she finds even her prodigious talents pushed beyond their limits when citizens of the American Colonies begin vanishing amidst rumors of crop circles, hydra sightings and worse. Through a wild and lethal adventure that will see her clashing with the Empire around the world and beyond, the only constants in Sully’s life are an undead girlfriend, a giant demon crow that has taken a shine to her, regular assassination attempts by enemies on all sides, and the cold certainty that nothing and nobody is going to make it out of the war in one piece.

A very entertaining and atmospheric alternative history fantasy novel … I would highly recommend The Wounded Ones to fans of the first novel in the series, and I would certainly recommend the author as a superbly creative fantasy writer.
